Karl-Johan Ahlqvist took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from John-David Lee, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 35 minutes into the match, Black Rose 1979's goal looked a bit too open when John-David Lee came free, but Karl-Johan Ahlqvist reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Tobias Corderall to make the kick off. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Müjdat Atasan during the 50th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In a very dangerous position, a player in Black Rose 1979 fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 69th minute. Penalty! Karl-Johan Ahlqvist had in the 72ndth minute some difficulties stopping Marciano Txema's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. In the 72nd play minute Marciano Txema came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Karl-Johan Ahlqvist. 1-1. Carlos Balendin came out of the goal in the 75th minute to try and stop a shot by Black Rose 1979's Dante Peruanton. But to his dismay, Dante Peruanton quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. Karl-Johan Ahlqvist showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tobias Corderall in the 78th minute of the match. Karl-Johan Ahlqvist made an important save on a dangerous shot by John-David Lee in the 79th minute. The corner ended in Marciano Txema almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Black Rose 1979's Karl-Johan Ahlqvist did a great save. If Waldemar Matorin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. When Ritchie Obis came up free with the goalie in the 89th minute, the Black Rose 1979 fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ritchie Obis couldn't finish the play. Karl-Johan Ahlqvist made an important save on a dangerous shot by Eleuterio Matteo in the 90th minute. In the 94th minute, Ritchie Obis hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If John-David Lee had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Seclantas AFC's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
