With an extended leg and a bit of luck Marian Podgoreanu prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Marian Podgoreanu came out of the goal in the 11th minute to try and stop a shot by Sundborn IF's Stellan Wallmark. But to his dismay, Stellan Wallmark quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. The Sundborn IF fans' excitement grew in the 14th match minute when Sundborn IF's Stellan Wallmark looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Sundborn IF's Roy Abrahamsson got a good chance for a goal in the 16th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 23rd minute Stellan Wallmark shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marian Podgoreanu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Marian Podgoreanu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Roy Abrahamsson, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Stellan Wallmark in the 26th minute of play forced FC UNIREA Alba Iulia's goalkeeper Marian Podgoreanu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Marian Podgoreanu was out of position in the 77 minute of play, and Stellan Wallmark capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Stellan Wallmark really showed his touch with that goal: 0-12. After some careless play in the FC UNIREA Alba Iulia defense, Stellan Wallmark kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Marian Podgoreanu. The FC UNIREA Alba Iulia fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Marian Podgoreanu should have stopped the shot. 89 minutes into the game, Stellan Wallmark recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Marian Podgoreanu. Stellan Wallmark showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-15. After some fancy dribbling in the 93rd minute, Roy Abrahamsson managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sundborn IF's supporters rose to their feet, but Roy Abrahamsson was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Marian Podgoreanu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 95 minutes into the game, Tudor Bărbânță was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. FC UNIREA Alba Iulia's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Sundborn IF the free kick. In the 95th match minute, FC UNIREA Alba Iulia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tudor Bărbânță to maneuver through the defense. Sundborn IF played a much better game than FC UNIREA Alba Iulia and deserved their victory. The FC UNIREA Alba Iulia players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
