The audience thought a goal was coming when Mbaka Mbolu got free with Sylvain Gobbelijns in the 20th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 22 minutes had been played when some careless play by Westbeke's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Bertrand Verhulst charged in rather forcefully in the 28th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. Olliver Van Bever could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 36th minute of the match, but Sylvain Gobbelijns made a huge save. De Beverpatrouille's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Beppe Ciccone in the 38th minute. Olliver Van Bevers short, quick shot in the 41stth minute got Sylvain Gobbelijns to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. The supporters of De Beverpatrouille booed when Westbeke was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 48 match minutes in a wonderful position. Louis Claevers didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 52nd minute of the game Dorin Corcoveanu made a throw-in which Aybars Öveç played forward. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jonatan Corderall in the 58th minute of play forced Westbeke's goalkeeper Sylvain Gobbelijns to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Olliver Van Bever received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Sylvain Gobbelijns tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Mbaka Mbolu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Sylvain Gobbelijns came out of the goal in the 71st minute to try and stop a shot by De Beverpatrouille's Mbaka Mbolu. But to his dismay, Mbaka Mbolu quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. Westbeke's Sylvain Gobbelijns played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Olliver Van Bever in the 76th minute of play. In the 79th minute Mbaka Mbolu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sylvain Gobbelijns saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 80 minutes, Mbaka Mbolu made it 3-0 with a short kick to the right side. Westbeke's Sylvain Gobbelijns tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot.
